Our History

Formed as a federal non-profit organization under the Canada Not-For-Profit

Corporations Act on February 12th, 2023. Initially, AHR focused solely on Calgary's

electronic music (EDM) community, providing an informational booth at many evening shows.

Ascend re-launched in September 2024, refreshed with new direction and goals; all led

by a team of licensed professionals with educational backgrounds in nursing,

psychology and social work. The organization is dedicated to delivering exceptional

supportive services to the community, advancing education, recognizing its passionate

volunteers, and collaborating with partners who drive awareness and change.
